Our staff at the Chinchilla Community Kindergarten are chosen for their commitment to their profession and our philosophy. Our teaching staff plans developmentally appropriate programs using the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG).
The QKLG provides advice for planning, interacting with children, monitoring and assessing, and sharing information in kindergarten contexts.

Mrs Scarlett has just begun her new job position at Chinchilla Community Kindergarten for 2023. Lee has completed her studies at USQ in Toowoomba and has been working in the Early Childhood Industry for over 18 years.

We welcome back Mrs Waters to Kindy! Mrs Waters has previously worked for over 10 years at Chinchilla Kindy as Teacher/Director. Mrs Waters brings with her a wealth of experience and we are very excited to have her return to Kindy.

Mrs Briggs returns to Kindy in 2024 from her maternity leave to take up the position of teacher in our Fields room.

Georgia has been employed at Chinchilla Kindy since 2015 as a school based trainee. Georgia has completed her Diploma in Children’s Services and is currently studying Bach of Early Childhood through USQ externally. Georgia is on staff as a teacher in our Fields room at the end of the week.

Miss Chloe has recently returned to Chinchilla and is on staff in our MTW Fields room as an assistant. Chloe started her journey with Chinchilla Kindy a long time ago as a school based trainee and left us when she got married and started her family.

Mrs Chelsea Sorensen is our newest member on staff in our Thurs/Fri alt Wed Fields Room. Miss Chelsea has moved to Chinchilla from Highfields a few years ago and had been working at CSHS prior to her employment at Chinchilla Kindy. We welcome her onboard.
- Inclusion Support Staff changes yearly depending on the needs of those enrolled.
- All staff have Blue Cards. Teaching staff have annual training for CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis and update their First Aide training every 3 years as per government regulations.

Miss Bridget has joined our staff in 2024 as our ISA. Miss Bridget's role is to assist our teaching staff and provide support to individual and small groups of children.
Miss Alice Iverson
School Based Trainee - Teacher Assistant
Alice is a Chinchilla local, a talented swimmer, and is in Year 10 at Chinchilla State High School. Alice began her school-based traineeship at Chinchilla Community Kindergarten at the beginning of 2022 and is studying her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
